Rosemary's version:

My cousin and now sister-in-law Ceci blessed us with a new addition to the Del Rio family five years ago by the name of Diego! It was the day of the baptism and first birthday that Ivan was incredibly blessed to make my acquaintance..hehe. I arrived at the reception a bit late, as I entered I saw a handsome bald headed man in a blue ironed shirt and tie sitting in the back with a table full of tacos! He sat next to another bald man who I assume is called my brother-in-law now, Alex. I, of course, did nothing and went to sit with my family's table. The remainder of the night consisted of Ivan glancing over at my table, he must have not liked my hair or something...Anywho, my entire table noticed this man staring and said it was because of me. I ignored it, you know, hard to get ;). Ivan made the mistake of asking my lovely cousin Mayra who I was and well...she ran to introduce us and the rest is history!

P.S. If Ivan writes anything about any softball games...DON'T BELIEVE HIM! IT IS ALL A LIE!

Ivan's version:

We met thanks to four lovely individuals John, Cecy, Mayra, and my lovely god son, Diego. I remember eating my tacos when this gorgeous, beautiful girl walked in and instantly caught my eye. I did not know who she was or who she was with. As the night went on, I wondered, who is this girl? Even my dad told me that night that there was a girl inside the hall in which he liked for me. I laughed and told him I knew exactly who he was talking about. In that moment, Mayra (her cousin in which I played softball with) asked me to dance. I had seen Mayra speak to this beautiful girl during the night so as we danced, I asked her if she knew who she was in which she replied, "my cousin, why?" Before I could answer, she ran to go get her and introduced us and left. We didnt even finish one dance when Rosemary received a phone call and left with her friends. Meanwhile, her dad watched and attained all of my information before I sat down again..(thanks Mayra). Anway, for some odd reason, she left an impression on me. That Thursday, we had a softball game and I wanted to ask Mayra to bring her to one of our games so that I could talk to her once again. Behold, she showed up out of nowhere. This of course made me nervous which caused me to commit many errors on a usual flawless third base lol. We talked after and left. Next week (without invite may I add) she showed up again. Since it was obvious she was into me, I decided then and only then, to ask her for her phone number. Four years later, here we are, getting married.

We have put so much thought and effort into creating a celebration for two amazing families uniting as one. Our wedding will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima church. Being married within the church is something that we hold as an extremely high priority. We are so excited to have the blessing of celebrating our love with God and all of our guests as our witnesses. We cannot wait to see you all there!

Our reception will be an evening of love, laughter, and fun! As special as this day is for the both of us, we understand how important it is to our families and dear friends who we love so much! We realize that never again will we have this unique opportunity to share a meal with 250 of our closest friends and dearest families. It is at our reception where we will share our first meals as husband and wife, and we are incredibly fortunate to have this meal and experience to share with all of you as well. That evening we will eat together, dance together, and yes..drink together! We are so blessed to have this amazing opportunity to celebrate with all of you and we thank you so much for being a part of it!!
